There are seasons where prayer feels dry, worship feels distant, and God seems far away. That’s okay—and you’re not alone. Here are a few gentle practices to help you reconnect:
1. Breathe with intention.
Try this simple prayer: Breathe in—“You are here.”
Breathe out—“And I am with You.”
Repeat for a few minutes. No pressure. Just presence.
2. Walk and wonder.
Take a walk without music or a podcast. Pay attention. Notice beauty. Ask, “God, what do You want me to see today?”
3. Journal without editing.
Write what you’re actually feeling, not what you think you should.
God’s not afraid of your honesty.
4. Return to Scripture slowly.
Pick a short passage (like Psalm 23 or John 15). Read it slowly, maybe out loud. Ask, “What word or phrase is for me today?”
Sometimes reconnecting isn’t about trying harder—it’s about being still long enough to notice God was near all along.
